One time or ongoing volunteer opportunities are described below. Use the Volunteer Sign up Form on the right to indicate your volunteer interests. Become a CASACASA volunteers come from all walks of life, bringing a variety of experiences to their work as advocates on behalf of abused and neglected children. A CASA serves one child or sibling set for the duration of the neglect/abuse case, which may be months or over a year. See our CASA Volunteer FAQ for more info about being a CASA.
Community GroupsWould your civic, church, or club like to learn more about CASA or provide a special service to the foster kids? Contact Marianne Clauw at mclauw@casawashtenaw.org to schedule a brief presentation for your group or learn about ways to support the kids -- clothing drives, school supplies, Cinderella Fund for special needs, event tickets, and holiday gifts are some of the ways our community has participated. Board members are responsible for guiding agency policy alongside the Executive Director in the following areas: Organizational Operations, Resource Development, Community Relations and Future Planning. Office SupportOur CASA office is always in need of volunteers who may not have time to become an advocate for a child, but could provide help with additional needs. There's always work to be done and office company is welcomed. Help us with mailings, fielding phone calls, filing, faxing, data entry and Internet research.
Marketing, Advertising, Social MediaConsider using your advertising, marketing, and social media skills, or donate your resources to help widen our advocacy, visibility and support throughout Washtenaw County. We are looking for creative people to help us brand CASA as a household name in our community.
Website and Database maintenanceLend your technical skills to help us update and maintain our website and database.
FundraisingFundraising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving.
