Impact

CASA is a national cause with 68,000 volunteers in over 970 locations across the country.

Last year, we served about a quarter million children; about one-third of the over 800,000 children, are in foster care.

NATIONWIDE

484 children confirmed victims of abuse or neglect.

Each day, nearly 58,000 CASA volunteers are advocating for abused and neglected children across the country. As a result, children's lives are being changed.

  • 95% of children do not languish in long-term foster care.*
  • 90% of children do not re-enter the child welfare system.*
  • Children ages 0-3 are the most likely to experience abuse
  • About 1 in 50 U.S. infants are victims of nonfatal child aduse or neglect in a year
  • 1,500 children did every year from child abuse and neglect
  • That is just over 4 fatalities every day
  • 79% of the children killed are younger than 4.
