CASA OF WASHTENAW COUNTYThe Washtenaw County CASA program serves as a model of government and nonprofit collaboration, and draws from the strengths of each sector to support the children who are in very unfortunate circumstances. Founded in 1987, this program demonstrates how the public and private sectors can work together on behalf of neglected and abused children. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. We are a national organization of volunteers appointed by judges to speak for the safety and well-being of abused and neglected children. The volunteer status of the CASAs ensures that the children's well-being remains our sole objective.
